... Welcome to all!

Atlanta, GA, Our Home.

Way back on a Saturday in January of 1982, in the midst of a raging snowstorm, we moved from Greenville, SC to Atlanta, GA.  When we left our home in Greenville, there was 5 inches of snow on the ground.  When we got to Atlanta that night, there was 6 inches of snow on the ground at our new house.  Thank God the folks who moved out on Friday night left the heat on.  But we were ecstatic!  We had a new home in Atlanta and we were here!  We stayed in that house for nearly 20 years.  In 1999, we decided to build a house about 30 miles northwest of Atlanta and in May or 2000, we moved in.

Little did we know that over twenty eight years later we are still in Atlanta and have long called Atlanta our home.  Here are few pictures of our home...

The front of our house.

The rear of our house.

The back porch - with the late Kanga running across.

Lee got three new trees planted.

After wanting them for years, Lee finally decided to add three new trees to our landscape.  So here comes a Magnolia for the backyard and a River Birch and Yellow Wood on the front yard.  AND... we enlarged two beds to enable us to add even more flowers and scrubs in the Spring of 2010.

We finally got a nice snowfall.  I know... I have been bitching about the rain and snow, but I guess deep inside we all still have a kid in us and we all love snow.  Here are a few pictures taken Friday, February 13th and Saturday the 14th.

This was the view out our Den window Saturday morning, February 14, 2010.
